Laser marking is a permanent process that applies a beam of concentrated light on a part of materials to create a lasting mark on the surface. The system uses short pulses of laser light at 300 watts, producing micro-plasma bursts, along with thermal pressure and shock waves to sublimate the rust and separates it from the metal substrate without damaging the workpiece. No media, no abrasives, chemicals and solvents needed, therefore, it is extremely environmentally-friendly processing.
The rust removal action can only happen when the laser is aimed at the rusty surface and will halt on the clean surface. Because the short pulse, high frequency laser beam only sublimates the rust into gas form, skipping the liquid phase. Our device can be set to a few certain depths by adjusting a group of flexible control parameters. So the device applications are not only limited to rust removal, it can also remove paint, powder coating, dirt, grease, oxidation layer, carbon layer, surface contamination, welding preparation (and after processing), and more in no time.
